Embroidery for Beginners 1, Session B
Does your student want to learn hand embroidery? Join a two-day workshop for beginners with Ms. Katie! During our four hours together, we will complete a beautiful stitch sampler, where your student will learn 7 embroidery stitches! They will also become proficient at threading a needle and tying knots. Your student will then finish by learning how to back their hoop in a clean way.
Your learner is ready for this workshop if:
They are between the ages of 10-16 with good hand eye coordination and fine motor control.
They understand that a hobby like embroidery is a nice relaxing tool to have and our environment will be calm - we will chat and put some relaxing music on in a small supportive environment.
**You will sign your learner up for ONE two-day workshop. Each workshop is the same, repeated throughout the school year to reach more students. If there is demand for a beginners 2 class, we will add one to the schedule
Parents will be able to come 10 minutes early on Friday to see everyone’s completed project!
Fee: $100, includes ALL individual supplies (hoop, fabric, embroidery thread, needle, backing felt) and shared supplies
