Program Description

Event Details

This class for students in 4th through 6th grades runs from January 17 to May 2, and consists of 12 sessions leading up to the Biz Town on-site visit on Thursday, April 27, with one debriefing class following the event. The cost of the class is $35 per child, which must be paid at the time of registration to cover Biz Town fees. Because the preparatory portion of this class may be taken in person or virtually, please be sure to scroll to the bottom of the registration form, where it says "Do you want to attend in-person or online?" and select the appropriate option!  If you plan to attend virtually, please be sure to make arrangements with the instructor to pick up your child's materials before the first class!

Junior Achievement BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. This popular learning experience allows elementary students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. Students are able to connect the dots between what they learn during school and the real world.  The simulation day will be a 4-5 hour event.
