Join us for an Introduction to College Planning Workshop with Westfield Washington Public Library & R-O-C-K-S Educational Planning.

College planning is a process, not an event. It can be an experience that is either celebratory or stressful for families, especially the prospective college student.

R-O-C-K-S (Revealing/Recognizing Options/Opportunities/ for Colleges/Careers and Knowledge of Self) Educational Planning will present this workshop to start the family on the journey to make this experience successful.

“Introduction to Successful College Planning” will present the “big picture” of college planning. Families can expect a thorough self-assessment, reliable resources for college, career exploration, useful strategies for completing the college application and more. This workshop establishes the foundation for further knowledge acquisition.

Follow-up workshops and opportunities for individual sessions will be offered to guide the student and family through their journey of the whole college planning process.

Introduction to Harry Pettibone:

I am living my own brand of retirement. In 2003 I retired as Director of Guidance from Avon High School. However, since that time full retirement has eluded me. I have been practicing what I have long preached - follow your passions. The passion for assisting students and families with all aspects of the college planning process has been a major part of my retirement life. Currently I work part-time at Carmel High School as a College Advisor. Working with the Westfield Washington Public Library to bring successful college planning to Westfield students and families brings me to this endeavor. As a Westfield resident and grandparent to Westfield students, I look forward to February 22 and meeting all of you
