Event Details

Because the National Geographic Bee was canceled for 2020/21 due to COVID, WWPL is presenting it's own version of the local bee.  The format will be similar to past National Geographic local bees that have been held at WWPL, with contestants answering one question in each of seven rounds before finalists are selected in a single elimination style competition.  First, second and third place winners will receive a ribbon, and all participants will receive a certificate. 

The event is a fun culminating event for children in grades 4 through 8 who have been studying geography in the Geography Study Group, however participation in the group is not required to register for the bee.  The event is free this year, but registration is required. Participants must sign in at 5:45 -- the event will begin promptly at 6:00!
